About our Guild ...

In 1993 when Janis Ramoth sent out a call for Quilters in a local newspaper, about 30 women came for a meeting at the Stafford Community Center in Beach Haven West. From that meeting, "Pieceful Shores Quilters Guild" was born.

Membership has grown to almost 90 members. Some had little quilting experience; many had none. In the years since, it has become a passion for all of us.

Sometimes we have professionals to come give workshops, seminars, lectures and trunk shows. Other times, our members teach us new techniques. We have had 6 shows: 1997, 2003, 2008, 2013, 2018 and 2024. Our latest show "Pointing the Way" was held on November 8 & 9, 2024 at the Ocean Acres Community Center. We presented quilts and demonstrations, and had vendors and other items for sale. We raffled off a beautiful quilt, as well as various baskets.

We plan to travel to Lancaster, PA for a fabric buying trip. In the past we have traveled to Oaks, PA for a national Quilt Show as well.

We have been providing about 45 community quilts each year to the Stafford Recreation Departments annual Toy Drive. This effort has been ongoing for 20+ years. In addition, we have donated about 45 quilts each year to the Lacey Chapter of the DAV. We call these quilts "Veterans Quilts". Most of these are made with red, white and blue fabric. We started this ~15 years ago. Our members enjoy giving back to our communities.

Dues are a bargain at $20 per year and are collected each September. We encourage new members to join us!!
