State Quilt Guild of NJ 2010

President: Lois Griffin
Vice-President : programs...joint venture of Kim Morris and Mark Lipinski
Vice-President: membership...Linda Burch
(Treasurer and Secretary are not up for vote this year.)
Volunteer:
Ericka Vonderheld: newsletter
After discussion about our beautiful quilt show last year, a new venue is predicted for a future show. A venue where there would be area activities for families was suggested. Mark Lipinski is going to put the guild on Facebook. Visits by state members to NJ local guilds is be used to gather ideas for fund raising, improving the guild's image, and trying to have a way for local guilds to utilize the state guild. One suggestion was to sell our own quilt related items, with the state guild taking a percentage. Pay for a table and sell whatever you've made and do not want, or need or do not plan to finish, etc.
Advance notice of meetings will be posted on our website. The next meeting date is August 7nd with the place is to be determined.
A volunteer for the Community Outreach school quilt trunk was requested as Judy has retired from that position.
It looks as if the state guild is still happening. Let's give everyone who helped make this happen and big high five!
A volunteer transition team consists of Nevi Baker, Erika Vonderheld and Mark Lipinski. If anyone has some good ideas and wants to share those ideas, contact Geri Wolf....meadowswoman@aol.com or 609-443-6596 and she will pass them on.
